The training helped me better prepare to lead my JUA group
What's the deal with this blog?
The blog is part of a product that teachers from New Hampton School will create as part of their staff training for the Junior Urban Adventure (JUA). The goal of the JUA is to ask questions and make meaning.
Our essential question is: The skills students need to be successful in the workplace are no longer as simple as being on time, pushing buttons and following orders. Yet, with standardized testing becoming the norm and more teachers "teaching to the test, " are schools educating students for the future? If so, what are the skills students need to become successful, not only in the workplace, but also as positive contributors to society?
